1-12-09 CRT has been awarded a Phase I SBIR contract from the Air Force under solicitation topic AF 083-160: Cognitive Radio Technology. Issues to be addressed under this award include discontiguous DSA, cross-layer network optimization, and MACs for cognitive radio networks.
11-24-08 CRT will be giving a brief overview of its work done in Phase I of its Navy SBIR on embedded spectrum management at the JTRS Science and Technology Forum (JSTeF) in San Diego on January 27, 2009, which is co-sited with the SDR Forum January general meeting.
10-30-08 James Neel's 2007 SDR Forum paper, "Synthetic Symmetry for Cognitive Radio Networks" was named a "Best Paper" for the 2007 Conference. It can downloaded from CRT's publications page.
Dr. Neel also gave a tutorial at the SDR Forum 08 Conference on analyzing cognitive radio networks. Slides for that tutorial are also posted on CRT's publications page.
7-9-08 CRT awarded a Phase I SBIR contract (# N00039-08-C-0085) to develop an embedded Spectrum Management and Planning Tool for JTRS software radios based on CRT's patent-pending Zero-Overhead Network Optimization algorithms.
